Flavia's
Arrived in Palolem. A very small village set in between palm trees and tropical lush bush. No traffic. No pollution. No hooting. No crowds. Just very laidback. The Portugese have been here.
I walked along the beach, along all the huts on stilts that are being built everyday for the big season. So many places to choose from. Some had loud music playing, others had bars, deck chairs, restaurants. About half a kilometer down I found my home - Flavia's. It had a volleyball net strung between a palm tree and a wooden pole. Got a hut. Changed. Into the sea.
Met a lot of really interesting people from England and Ireland, with whom I have been having delicious suppers with every evening. Here you can lead an entirely decadent lifestyle, eating fresh seafood, Italian (with real Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar and Parmesan Cheese), English, Banoffee Pies and Tutti Fruttis and beers and wine and just eat as much as you can, because it is the last two weeks, I have lost about ten kilograms (stomach problems are the best way to lose weight), and because I like food.
Yesterday I played Frisbee with a real Frisbee (orange and faded) - not the cheap and very light imitations that are available here.
