Tibetan Kitchen

Spent most of the next day trying to organize a Jeep trip to Pangong lake - a remote lake on the far eastern border between India and China. Most of the lake is inside China.

We walked all over town following up noticeboard messages where people needed two more to fill the Jeep, and also organzied our own journey and hung up posters for others to respond to.

In the meantime we walked up to the palace perched on top of the hill - a smaller version of the Potala in Lhasa, Tibet. We walked through the old town of Leh - narrow alleys, dark alleys with a low ceiling, and windy paths leading up the hill to the palace. Stayed a while there and listened to some tradional Ladakhi music - sounds like snake-charming music.

In the evening we managed to organize the trip for the following day. Had some delicious Tibetan food in a fine restaurant (fully booked days in advance).
