Street Food

Asked a coconut vendor for directions to Hospital Street. Misunderstood me and chopped the end of a chilled coconut and stuck a straw in for me to drink. I finished drinking and handed it back to him. He then opened it up and loosened the flesh for me to eat. I ate half and gave the other half to a surprised and thankful local squatting on the ground.

I carried on walking in the wavy direction of Hospital Street. Asked another fellow - he motioned me to sit down. I sat down. He bought me a Panis Puris (little pastry pockets filled with vegetables, tamarind sauce, coriander etc). So delicious!
