Enfield 500 Bullet

Buying an Enfield 500 Bullet (motorbike), and exporting it to South Africa. Today spent the entire day talking to people and workshops and looking at bikes and doing the 'numbers'. It will be a classic 1965 model, with leather seats, saddle bags - totally reconditioned. Max speed 112km/h. Ideal cruising speed 80km/h. 0-100 in 24s. And it has all the other technical stuff as well, like torque and gear ratios.

I totally trust this guy. Actually, it was so refreshing talking to him because there was an air of no bullshit about him. He wouldn't even bargain.

The saddlebags could fit a tent and other such paraphernalia. Perhaps even a volleyball net. Or a digital video camera with tripod.

Anyway - back to India.
