Ween - In Concert In London

Ween was very good. Small venue. They looked like very naughty guys. Ve'y ve'y naughty. They started off melodic and after Don't Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy) things started going hardcore into fullblown moshing and an endless stream of crowd surfers and the two security heavies plucking them from the waves and sending them on their ways again. They were so busy that one guy almost made it onto the stage, and another did, and put his arm around Dean or Gene Ween. Beer glasses and beer was flying around, and they were rocking harder and harder and through the encore with Irish sounds (Blarney Stone), Pina Colada sounds, some country music (Piss up a Rope) and then the most requested song of all, Buenos Tardes Amigo. Besides the opening and closing Maio de Cinqos, the loudest sung phrase was 'interlaced with de meat', and everybody started clapping Spanishly as they progressed into the murderous story.
