Galaxy 500

I have finally discovered Galaxy 500.

Melody Maker called it an "astonishing debut by anybody's standards," and Thurston Moore declared it "my favorite guitar record of 1988."

"The pleasure (and the tension) of On Fire is its exploration of music on the edge of collapse," wrote Simon Frith in the Observer.

Rolling Stone described it as " ...barely music at all, more like a warm breeze of ambient adagio jangle or the third Velvet Underground album playing at 16 r.p.m."
